Design Consultation:
The first step is to start with a one-hour consultation. During the consultation, I will listen to your wants and needs, and take detailed photos and notes. I will need to know your budget for furnishings and accessories per room. Shortly after, I will follow up with a second appointment to go over the design via email or in person. Once the design has been signed off, a completion date will be provided.
Design Services:
Creative Designs by Tonya will include the following services: Selection of furniture, accessories, wall art, and area rugs. Personal shopping when needed. Install drapery (does not include blinds - a professional service will need to be hired to do this task if needed), hang artwork, accessorize the space with purchased items, and finally place area rugs in the desired space
Selection of interior wall paint. A professional painter will be required to be hired by the homeowner. When it comes to painting your home, interior wall color is one of the most important aspects. We will select the color that fits the space and the clients style. If the furniture in the room is neutral, you may want to choose rich color for the walls to compliment it. Decide what the main focus of the room is before you begin painting. If the main focus is not on the walls but on a piece of furniture or addition, you should think about a neutral shade to decorate the walls, like a white or grey shade.
Selection of lighting. A licensed electrician will be required to be hired by the homeowner to install lighting and remove old lighting. Lighting is an integral part of architecture. We will select and order lighting. A feeling for light and lighting starts with visual imagination, just as a painter’s talent does. Think of the creation of a watercolor rendering - First major highlights are imagined. Then, graded washes of different luminosity are added. Then, the detail of minor light play makes the idea clear and entertains the eye. In front of the mind’s eye are three elements in the perceptions of visual design — three elemental kinds of light effect which can be related to the art of painting for easier visualization: (1) Focal glow or highlight. (2) Ambient luminescence or graded washes. (3) Play of brilliants or sharp detail. These three elements are also the order of imaginative planning.
